P(VDF-TrFE) Piezoelectric films
Relaxor & Electrostrictive polymers P(VDF-TrFE-CFE / CTFE)

Piezotech developed with the Institute Saint Louis a patented poling process of PVDF materials.
This process poles uniformly throughout the poled region, aligns crystallites, orients dipoles, and eliminates the ions and space charges resident in the un-poled material.
For applications and materials studies requiring high quality and reproducibility, individual samples must be produced with well defined electrical properties in a process, which can control amplitude, duration and history of the electric field.
With control of electrical field applied to an individual sample, electrical displacement, displacement current, remnant polarization, and homogeneity of polarization can be controlled.
Piezotech can produce small and large areas of quality controlled PVDF and P(VDF-TrFE) films as well as arrays designs upon request.
Customized electrodes are available.
Piezotech has the capabilities to sputter Pt/Au, Cr/AL, Cr/Au, Cr/Cu electrodes.
For thin films, deposition of electrodes will be processed with our evaporation Balzer apparatus.
Sputtered electrodes over the whole film or according to the pattern you need are available.
Conductive polymers can be deposited for flexible devices (few hundred ohms/square unit).

Poled PVDF and PVDF-TrFE films can be coated with PTFE or Polyester insulators on both sides. Metallization of these insulators is available for shielding when these films are used in strong electrical environment.
Electrical connection and coaxial cable are also available.
